...DO THEM!!! If you have been doing them all summer, then great, keep it up. If you haven't been doing them then start because they WILL make you faster. They don't take more than 5 minutes a night and they arn't that hard to do. Just do like at least 60 pushups and like 90 or so situps/crunches. Do them in sets or something, whatever it takes. A lot of people underestimate how much faster they will make you, but they help a lot. These are important and we shouldn't wait untill the season begins to start them. And if getting faster isn't enough to motivate you to do these than just think about how much being in good shape will help you with the ladies. "Some people train knowing they're not working as hard as other people. I can't fathom how they think..."

for the big girl thingys out there (like me) heres a nice easy way to do this:
100 crunches 10 pushups, short rest, 5 PUs, rest, 4, rest, 3, rest, 2, rest, 1. 100 crunches 1 pushup, short rest, 2, rest, 3, rest, 4, rest, 5, rest, 10. 100 crunches
thats 300 crunches and 50 pushups. and its real easy, and takes under 10 minutes. like steve says, itll make you way faster, so just give it a try.
HAHAHAHAHA i called myself a big girly thingy.

or if you have been doing them all summer like you're supposed to, you should be able to do something like 30 pushups, then 25, then 20.
or to spice things up a bit, do thirty normal pushups, then twenty more with you're arms spread far apart, then ten more pushups with you're hands right next to each other so that youre thumbs and pointer fingers make a triangle with you're legs spread out as far as you can.
then just do loads of sit-ups
