It's going to be very important for us to stay completely hydrated this summer if we are going to not have any medical probs. and be able to train our hardest. That in mind, I suggest that everyone go to gatorade.com, click on the "Science of Hydration" link and go to "Sweat 101" in th pull-down. Click on the Faq's and click on the "Fluid Loss Calculator" (it should be in a green box near the bottom right of the window). BTW, Steve, I would have put the link here instead of putting all of those instrucitons down, but Safari wouldn't let me see the address, so please don't post that I should have done that like you did the last time. Thank you. Now, (back to everyone) it only takes a couple of minutes, and it will really help you out a lot during the summer.

weigh yourself before the run and then after the run then drink the difference.

how about this for hydration science: drink water until your piss is clear Actually that is medically correct. If your piss is really yellow it means one of two things: you haven't been drinking enough water OR your not getting enough protein. Clear piss is definatly a good thing.

heres the thing...if youre trying to hydrate before a run, you drink water all day. then if you piss before the run, you can be like 'woo, im hydrated'...but you just pissed, so you really need to hydrate again to make up for it...so that method doesnt really work.

I prefer my piss to be mostly clear with a slight yellow tint. That way I'm not urinating every five minutes, and I'm still pretty hydrated.

yeah true tom...my mistake. although water in your bladder is alright...once you sweat out all the water from your system, youll notice you dont have to pee anymore.
