I dont think we should do west mountain but i do know that if we do luzerne we can go swimming at jon williams house, but it wont be a breakfast run because they bought food last time we did a mountain run. So if we do luzerne then just bring something to eat and leave it at his house before we run

i would suggest you ladies run butler pond tomorrow, in all seriousness you can choose to run luzerne its a good run but i do not suggest you run buckbee, it takes too long to get out there which is fine for the older guys but not the younger ones yet, and the hill itself does not appropriatly stress the systems we need, i would suggest and will be doing butler pond and running down the top section to the parking lot or so and repeated the top section for more of a workout than prior mountain runs.

I voted for Butler as well. I will be running it tomorrow at one of the runs or on my own...we'll see.

Sully was actually suggesting on the run this morning that another option would be doing curcuits (high-way hill/the wall).

I say Luzerne because its more up hill unlike butler which levels out raises level out raises etc. West mountain would take to long, then the hilly run sully also said to do an ez if we want. i say luzerne but i'll do butler

I would say that Butler is probably the most beneficial. The other two you have a hard start, so hard that you almost walk. Then easy at the top. Butler is medium start, flat, then harder at top. It makes you work, rest, work even harder rather than work and finish out easy.
And I'm not sure what you guys mean by West Mtn. Are you talking about running up the face or something like that like we do in Cross Country Skiing? I definitely would not suggest that as a Mtn. Run, if you want to do it on your own time for fun/extra excersise than whatever. First of all you won't be helping your running form like the road Mtn. runs do because you can't really stride out on West Mtn. And also you'll have about a million opportunites to roll an ankle/die.

i like how steve says "like we do in cross country skiing" Hey, I was doing XC skiing before you even knew what a ski was Chris Taylor!!! Just because I stopped to be a real man and run in the winter doesn't mean I never ran up that Mtn. carrying those dumb poles.

i dont think we should do a mountain run at all. A thirty minute long slow distance would work for me

with my extensive running knowledge, i would reccommend butler. you dont get any more benefit from luzerne, physically, and it's way steeper and way harder. plus theres more traffic on luzerne. basically there's just no point of putting yourself at greater risk like that, not to mention how mentally tough it is. it's useless.
butler, meanwhile, has key turnaround points. for the very weak, turn around at the first parking lot. for the somewhat weak, turn around at the top, and for the tough, run the whole buckbee loop. OR. park cars at gurney lane, and run up butler, then over to gurney lane, then swim and drive home.
