Hey, does anyone know what they're doing over in Potter Woods I was really hoping to do alot of my running over the summer there but at this rate it may be too nasty. I was in there running today and it was disgusting

I'm not 100% sure, but I think they were cutting down trees. I mean, the tons of trees cut down across the trails and the big yellow machines could just be a coincidence, but you never know.

Well duh, I did see the machinery. But why there, there not just cutting trees on the path but in the middle of roads. They're doubling the size of some the paths (which i'm not complaining), i was just wondering why there doing it. Mostly they are making wood chips not actually using the wood and there moving down the trail so i was just wondering. Do you know when they're going to be finished

Well, you do know Potter Woods is a tree farm don't you?
And I have no idea when they'll be done, but I hope it's soon casue it's a pain in the ass for running.

Yes, it is a tree farm but they never did this much work on it. I'll be glad when it is done and over with. Makes my life easier. Thanks though

fall of my senior year they were goin nuts back there...doubled the width of the main trail at the bend in potter...almost eliminated monopoly hill...but you're all too young for that.
anyway, finch pruyn owns potter woods, and they're going to continue to take trees out of it til its a neighborhood. enjoy it while you can...youll be telling your kids all about how your new neighborhood used to be your running trails.
sad really.

I'll die before I let that happen to Potter Woods. ...even if it means getting run over by a bulldozer.

well, there goes on of the best places to go running (next to Queensbury of course ;D) Why couldn't they move their little cruddy construction of the new "John Burks" somewhere else??? Certainly we have enough druggies to go around. I say say we tie ourselves to the trees in protest

queensbury is basically the hottest spot for land right now so if if means more money, they could turn it into neighborhoods. HadleyLuzerne and warrensburg are turning into the same thing. hottest spots for land. prices have tripled for land in qby since 7-10yrs ago.
ok, im done using my realtor knowledge.
didnt manor drive used to be like trails and stuff too?

manor drive has been the projects for a while, but the whole indian ridge neighboorhood wasnt there before 2000...it used to be trails that we ran everyday in middle school...the john joyce trail, the bunny trail, the girls trail. d**n those were great.
